Hard Mode SV solo 55 Necro areas [Image Heavy]
So some people might have seen me around giving away gold and items and whatnot , and I am constantly asked why I do this.I just do.So I figured with the introduction of HM and drops being what they are,I'd share areas where I obtain my goodies, some are known, others may be a little obscure but I'll share if anyone is interested in reading.
This is not totally limited to the SV build,Spiteful Spirit is also very effective still, but a little slower. This farm guide (if you can call it that) centers on the SV/Parasite build.
In hard mode monsters hit faster and cast faster, alot faster,so that means alot of the times you need to mash some serious spell casting. Here's the lowdown..this isn't going to be super in depth, but should provide a good starting point to go from.
Here are the attribute setups as well as the weapon/offhand that will be used.
Skill Breakdowns:
Healing Breeze and Protective Spirit are your main skills to keep up while fighting the mobs.
Orison of Healing is there to pop your health back up.
Spoil Victor is your main damage spell and will deal 105 damage per enemy hit.
Insidious Parasite is the crutch for SV,basically if your enemy Spoils himself to a lower
health than you,it becomes ineffective so a Parasite will finish that enemy off.
Mending,Essence Bond and Balthazars Spirit are your 3 main enchantments.
If you are familiar with 55'ing this is redundant (i know),if these spells and their uses make no sense, then I would suggest searching around and looking at similar 55 techniques that are more in depth.
I'm using a Blood+Sup Blood Face Scar, and the regular Rune/Cesta setup to achieve 55 HP.
I'm also using the 20% enchants longer weapon mod because this run invloves no actual melee attacks by you,all you need to do is stand still..Also the -50 Grim cesta.I've tried this run with a -20 offhand and that works.I've also tried with Vilnars Claw/Glove(105 HP) and that works as well.
So lets get to some areas..
GATES OF MADNESS:
Exiting the Gates of Madness and entering the Domain of Secrets,be careful of the Shadow Mob thats right ahead of you, either run immediately to your right to the rez or back up or you are in danger of being engaged.
You'll be targeting Exuro first.Take the Bounty, Exuro is straight ahead of you.Have Prot up before engaing because Exuro will cast Mind Blast on you and its quick.run to the left of the moband cast a Parasite on an attacking Titan.Parasite doesnt work on Exuro so keep hitting him with SV,might have to wand him at the end.you can kill off the rest if you want or just run away, they break aggro somewhat quickly.
Heres a full map route,
Theres mobs everywhere.I basically just Chest run here.Kill the odd Titan not hard once you do it a few times.Energy is an issue here so be sure not to overspam Prot and HB to much.
Graven Monoliths are killable one on one,Just swap to high HP armor and weapons ...and aw crud.
ABBADDONS GATE:
Ok leaving Abbaddons Gate,(I believe) you'll be entering the Depths of Madness.Enchants up,First mob you'll want is the Shadow mob consisting of 1Monk , 2 Warriors and 2 Eles. You won't make it fast enough to them before they hit the patrol, but they only go so far and then come right back.
You'll want to target a Warrior and wand the mob towards you.Pull them all back a little. You'll get pummeled with Hundred Blades and Firestorm,so make sure of 2 things.First don't stand in a double Firestorm..move out of the first one.Second have a Parasite on a Warrior at all times if possible,or pop Orison.Target the monk, take him down first,he will try and heal any enemy you target,so while Warrior is bleeding himself with Parasite, the monk is trying to heal himself and the War.Anyways kill them, leaving the Warriors as your enery boost.Kill them last.
Next you'll want to run up to the Margo group ahead of you and die. You'll be rezd here.Swap to an HP +30 weapon set and you should be at around 63 HP.Target the next mob of Shadows, run around.
TURAIS PROCESSION:
This is a fairly strange run. After Exiting Ventari Cemetary, you'll want to put your 3 main enchants up,then HUG the wall on your left.Run along the wall and past the merchant.Do not try and kill these mobs along the way.Hold alt looking for chests.None of the patrolling mobs will come in contact with you as long as you stay right against the wall
...aaaand run along until you come to the circular procession area as shown on the screenshot.
In HM you'll need to activate spawns so you'll have to work left to right all the way around, holding alt to look for chests. The enemies are super easy to kill and all you'll need to do is cast Prot Spirit,SV,wand and stand there.Work your way around the area, activating the enemy spawns and you'll come to a hidden boss right back where you entered. This is a level 30ish Earthen Abomination.Kill him.SV,Parasite,wand,dead.
MODDOCK CREVICE:
This is fairly fast, just add Dunkoro to your party, talk to Unlucky Simon and enter Caverns mission.Once inside Initiate the conversation between you and Captain Bohseda.
Run back a little and flag Dunkoro back to the gate and leave him there.Run back to Captain and wait for you to either accept to go with him or say no.
Me personally I'd say no,theres a really large spawn and its very difficult if you go with him.So BEFORE you say no to him RECLICK on yourself. You'll want to cast Prot fast, and if he's still non aggressive, you'll cast on him. He'll get disrupting throw off really fast.
Back up until Dunks is off radar and greyed out.SV Parasite Captain, kill the rest.Theres some bugs ahead,Imps are death but if theres a group with no imp attached take them out.Nice drops here sometimes.
ISSNUR ISLES:
Sorry no screens of killing but jump in and have fun..
You can see by the screenshot theres an area above me I haven't gone through, thats the second half.
Leaving outside Kondur Hamlet you'll be entering Issur Isles.Put up enchantments and swap to your wand/cesta combo.Walk to the scout there and take the bounty for killing SKALES.This is also a great way to gain Sunspear points. You'll be facing Ridgeback Skales,Frigid Scales and a few other, pick a side to work first, kill mobs of 3 only at a time Frigid Skales are fine and don't cast anything to nasty,Ridgeback Skales will hit with agonizing Chope but is easily avoided and the other Necro Skales cast rotting flesh on you or something,so Prot,HB,Parasite a Ridgeback and SV the Necro Skale until he is dead, probably have to wand him a couple times to finish him. This is a great are for drops, very generous in HM.
The Spiders and Beetles are also super easy, just clear all Skales on one side then attempt to do Beetle/Spider hunting.Killing the Grubs are hard, they Heal Spam like a Healing Spammer, but persistance will kill them.Move to the other side when youre satisfied and kill they others.Theres at least 50 Skale here, lotta loot, good Sunspear Points gaining.
ANVIL ROCK:
Leaving the Ice Tooth Caves , straight ahead is the first mob of Minos. No interrupts, get enchants up,SV and Parasite.I've managed seven at a time.Locked Chests and decent loot.Finalkill count was around 60-80.Heres the full route.
Well theres six areas for now..if anyone has anything theyd like outlined or inquire about please ask here,I'll be happy to help anyone.
I'll update a little later with more areas,in Prophecies and Factions as well. Also Djjins,Behemoths,Hekets,Bosses,UW and lots more if anyones curious.

Damnit... almost all of those are in Nightfall, the only of the three Campaigns I haven't completed yet.
And I've noticed the minotaurs in Anvil Rock have a nasty tendency to kite off to a safe distance and regenerate once low on health.

if you are actually attacking the mino it won't kite away when low on health, so i attack them one by one, i find that the mino dies before SV recharges so i don't lose any time either.

I guess that would make Spoil Victor the better choice then... I've been using SS, but I suppose that is more for areas where the enemies don't auto-kite.

JB: Drops have been really good actually , I'll make sure to post a few screens for you to check out.
I'll be adding some more areas w/screens a little later.
Soti:I'll post some more Prophecies and Factions areas that are relatively fast and profitable.
Rasta: Mo/N should work fine, just a little slower without the maxed Necro skill attributes.

You really should try to drop the whole regen idea and go with SoA/SH combo. It's much much better, and you can tank infinate amounts of mobs.
Unless there's degen there's really no good reason not to swap Mending+HB for SoA/SH. Plus you'll save some attribs that you can pump into Protection or something else...

So heres a few more areas to try if anyone would like.
JADE FLATS/MELANDRUS HOPE:
Ritualist Chkkr Brightclaw is next,he's right outside Jade Flats, entering Melandrus Hope.Enchant yourself and run to your right and go down the
ramp here. You'll see Salke's mob spawn down at the bottom, now I havent tried Salke yet because I'm sure it's gonna get messy because he's a rough solo in normal mode, anyways avoid him for now i guess and proceed to the right.
Now right down at the waters edge, there will be a mob of 3 enemies the come down from behind you..as in these guys.Ok so just target the Kirin first and kill him, next kill the Undergrowth and leave the Dragon Moss to attack you. He'll stay back a little.
I wouldnt suggest running in and aggroing Chkkr immediately.A rather large Spawn will appear if you enter his little area there and thats not a good idea.Wand him back a little first then SV/Parasite.Keep Parasite on him always, right after the recharge is done recast. Also constantly wand him. He'll die.Kill Moss.Run in and grab loot.
Elite Rit Tomes and the Brightclaw. If you run up the hill that mob just came down from earlier it'll take you to Chkkr Locust Lord by the way, also doable.
UNWAKING WATERS/SILENT SURF:
Leaving Outside Unwaking Waters (Luxon Side),entering Silent Surf get your enchantments up and run around the little boat straight ahead of you.
You'll be fighting Miella Lightwing , an Ele Boss.Be aware that there is a dragon that causes knockdown in this mob so time your spells.Get a Parasite off fast target Miella SV and Parasite, might have to wand.Dead.Kill remaining Saltsprays.Run around looking for Chests.Elite Monk Tomes.
ALTRUMM RUINS/ARBORSTONE:
This run takes you outside the Altrumm Ruins and into Arborstone. When you enter Arborstone take a hard left to a side passage and you'll see a mob of Wardens.
The fastest strategy I can figure to get past the mob is to try and pull the Warden of Spring out from the Wardens of the Leafs, just so you don't get caught in a trap, and use the Wardens of the Trunk as extra damage with Spiteful Spirit.Well Kill the Spring Warden, then everything else.
In hard mode the Wardens of the leaf lay alot of traps, alot. So be really aware of this before running through.Once they are dead run through and you'll see your 2 bosses you'll be killing. One is Craw Stonereap and the other is Zarnas Stonewrath. You'll want to drops your enchantments and swap to higher hp armor as well as a hp+ weapon set.
Craw has some degen but just use the wall to block his attacks and keep casting Suffering and SS on him.Use Prot Spirit to get him to cast Lingering Curse on you and then cast Healing Breeze to keep your HP in the clear.Elite Necro Tomes and his green can drop.
If Zarnas is already blocked by a wall great just run to a spot he can't hit you and do the same thing. He''l initially cast Gale on you and knock/interrupt you if you don't time right.
DASHA VESTIBULE/HIDDEN CITY:
Pretty easy and straight forward.Talk to the Key in Dasha Vestibule to gain entrance to the Hidden City. When inside enchant and hug the center divide to squeak past the first mob of Djjin on your right. Why,normally there is a hidden spawn if this group is aggrod and its to much.So run past and kill the back 3 Djjin, and continue...
run and kill Djjinn all over.Eventually you'll come to different ways to go,theres a Rain and Rock Beetle area you can hit.Just run around and test for yourself.
I like to tend to target Immolated or Ruby Djjins first and kill them, reduces the time your on fire.Don't overspawn healing and you'll do fine.
MAATU KEEP/PONGMEI VALLEY:
Pretty well known area i guess, almost everything is soloable here in HM.
Well i was fartin' around in Pongmei Valley and decided to go kill Xuekao. I've ultimately been killing the Brotherhood on the way.
I've gotten some decent drops from these guys, like Black Dye,Gold Briutes and whatnot. After killing Xuekao (Green Daggers,Elite Sin Tome) run around and kill those smelly Yeti's.
You can also go to Aspenwood and kill Yetis there really nice loot from them and a couple bosses there,Ranger and Mes I think.
TITANS/DROKS/LIONS ARCH:
I'm gonna keep this as short as I can. After beating Prophecies go to Droknars Forge and kneel at the statue of Glint and talk to the Vision.Grab the Defend North Kryta mission.
Go back to Lions Arch and talk to Firstwatch Sergio and head out to North Kryta Province.Heres the build:
Theres a tons of Titans,no specific way to actually run this as far as I'm concerned but I've always went to the right side and gone from there.Main things to be aware of,Water Titans will cast Maelstorm on you, this is managable with one at a time,if you have multiple Water Titans casting on you, move out of Maelstorm.
Just cast SS on Waters first and Parasite them, you want them dead first in my opinion. Then just kill the rest.
The Rotting Titans and aw I can't remeber the other one are killable but theres enough Water,Earth and Wind Titans around that I would suggest you just leave them.Run all around kill what you want and then rezone.
UNDERWORLD.....
Haven't spent a ton of time in UW in HM,but I did a few runs, main things to be aware of when soloing it is that Dying Nightmares are now Level 25!So your best way to killing them is to let them rend you, recast Prot Spirit on yourself and SS on him.Aataxes are level 32 or something and a pain but doable, cast really fast....
Levi:Ill be sure to give it a try,I'm always game for trying new things.
Anyways people, theres a ton of areas to farm, look around.Happy Hunting!

For the record, I finally got a Brightclaw... though no golds nor elite tomes from the barsteward...
On the other hand.... not only did I find out that someone's advice to farm Kappas on the beach of Maishang Hills worked wonderfully well...
...but I also found that the Mantids in Kinya Province, right outside Ran Musu Gardens, are perfect for farming. Dare I say it, they even seem easier than the Minotaurs in Anvil Rock.
Even the boss Tahkayun Tsi goes down fast..... though since he doesn't have an elite skill, I doubt he'll drop any skill tomes (and while his green looks awesome, it is still just a Shing Jea green and thus pathetically weak).
I got 3 golds from the area in one run this morning... None of them were particularly impressive items, but every gold is worth having. Excellent place to farm Chitin Fragments too.

that assasin boss your solo isnt a real pic you photoshoped it, two am fah necros allways spawn next to him and follow him and they use barbed signet.
Edit by Levi Garett: OMG are you kidding me? Ever heard of adjusting your EQ to cope with lifestealing? How about pulling the boss out with a flatbow? Nope it must be impossible!!!! It's too hard and I can't think of ANY way to counter it!!!

If I wanted to Photoshop something it wouldn't be that.Maybe it was just a weird spawn or something.
KCP:You sir are the reason I began soloing so long ago.Sometimes I swap Spirit Bond in there, just depends on the situation I'm going into.I like to use Orison to pull enemy skills out, especially when soloing Shak-Jarin.I got comfortable using Orison from one of your older builds ages ago.

I'm having a hard time with this...i can farm out of rhilon refuge (longfoot and his gang) and sskai, mino's out of anvil rock, and jade warriors, but everything else on this list out damages my mending and prot spirit. Have not tried titans yet but kirins kill me uber quick...and now my enchants are not dropping, I just get outdamaged

As I advised in my reply above swap HB and Mending for SH and SoA (unless the stuff you are fighting has degen).
You want to cast in this order:
PS, then Shielding Hands (back to back)
Then when Shielding Hands is 75% recharged cast SoA
Then when SoA is 75% recharged cast PS, then Shielding Hands (back to back)
This combo uses less energy than PS+Breeze+Mending and you also gain a PIP of energy regen. The best thing about it is you can aggro as many things as you like because all damage will be reduced to zero.
Good luck!
